Special Education Unit
The Special Education Unit or Resource Centre aims at identifying and resolving difficulties that students face during the school. These difficulties could be in the nature of specific learning problems like poor spellings, reading-writing difficulties, etc. or behavioral difficulties that interfere with the child’s learning development.
The special educator or resource teacher plans and implements an educational program that is best suited to meet the child’s needs and requirements. This individualized plan is in tandem with the regular curriculum the child follows in class. To reach the Special Educator, you may contact the school. PARENTS COUNCIL
SSIS has been strongly supported by parents since its inception. The Parent Council members are active participants in all internal school functions. Parent Teacher Council was formed on 12th Sept 2015 and is reformed yearly. A registration form is sent to each parent at the beginning of each year. Registration forms are analysed by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and parents with a varied skill set are chosen. Parents elect a chairperson of the committee and meetings are held monthly.
